Marie Ideström, CEO and founder of the Womengineer Foundation, works to strengthen young girls’ confidence and knowledge in technology so that more of them will choose a career in the field. In 2008, as an engineering student at KTH, she co-founded the initiative with her classmate Emelie Emanuelsson, and today she runs Womengineer full-time. The goal is for the number of female engineers to equal that of male engineers, because the world becomes better when everyone is involved in shaping it.
